Our hotel near the Sellaronda is the perfect starting point for any kind of sport activity. For those who love skiing and challenges, the ski tour around the Sella massif is exactly what they are looking for.
The name Sellaronda tour refers to both the ski and road course winding around the Sella Group, a mountain group of the Dolomites located right in the middle of four valleys: Fassa, Livinallongo, Badia, and Gardena. The Sellaronda is also known as the “Tour of Four Passes”, as it connects the four passes that make up the Sella massif: Sella Pass, Pordoi Pass, Campolongo Pass, and Gardena Pass.
During your stay at our hotel near the Sellaronda, you can take the chairlift of Campolongo that takes you up to the Bec de Roces, where the trail for Arabba starts – if you want to ski it clockwise. If you prefer to go anticlockwise, start at the Campolongo Pass and take the chairlift to the Crëp di Mont, ski down to Corvara and begin your tour from there. Regardless of your starting point, the Sellaronda is within walking distance from your hotel.
Please note that the ski tour is 40 km long. This is why we kindly recommend our guests to start the day on the Sellaronda in the Dolomites by 10 a.m. and to reach the final Pass before 3:30 p.m. This is to ensure that you arrive at destination before the facilities closing times. The tour requires good physical preparation and skiing experience.
Another tour you should not miss during your holidays in the Dolomites is the in Alta Badia. The 80 km tour takes you around the Col di Lana, between Valle del Cordevole and the Falzarego Pass, where many bloody battles of WW1 were fought. The route, which stretches from the Campolongo Pass to Arabba, still bears countless traces of the Great War.
